Dog Friendly Parks

Kelvingrove park is one of Glasgow’s gems, a public park located on the River Kelvin in the West End of the city of Glasgow. Dogs are welcome throughout the park and like most public places well-behaved dogs can be off lead. Owners, please take note that in warm summer months the park will be packed and full of sun-seekers and many with picnics and food. With kids play area, skate park, football pitches, scenic duck pond and lots of historic monuments, plus the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Kelvingrove park is one of the best parks in Glasgow for everyone, children, families and for dogs too! The park is 34 hectares (85 acres) in size,[1] and located in the West End of Glasgow. It straddles the River Kelvin shortly before the river’s confluence with the Clyde, and as such is an urban haven for wildlife.Trout salmon and seat trout can be found in the Kelvin and permits cost as little as £30 per season.
